Help ... again! :(

I have a new hard drive to install but it won't work.
I also have Windows Vista Home Premium to be installed too.

Old hard drive disconnected .
New hard drive fitted.
PC switched on.
Windows install page comes up.
Security Code is typed in okay.
Instructions followed okay.

It then ask's for a drive but it finds nothing.

Why is this?

Have you got the pin set right on the back of the HD to master, slave etc?

Yes.I changed my HD and had to buy a SATA / IDE converter...but its plugged in correctly.The converter plugs into the terminal that the current HD is using.

I read on the net that there can be a lot of problems using Vista when a nonse like me is doing it !!

Does something on the options page (F2 or F11) have to be changed?
