help and advice about ph1 engine conversion please

Hi i have a Clio ph1 1.2 and have acquired a cheap ph1 172 off a friend that needs belts doing.

What I wanted to know is can I drop the engine and subframe from the 172 and simply bolt it up to the 1.2?

basically yes, just swap everything across.

are they the same colour? ...... could just swap the plates over itll be just as illegal as I assume the reason youre converting is to avoid the high insurance .....

or if its for a sleeper look just swap the bumpers over.....

Easy when you have a doner car just swap it all over i take it your car is a better shell?
