^^^ as above, or the 70K car with new tyres & cambelt change................as all of them will need a cambelt as it is age as well as mileage dependant............

He has obviously spent some wedge on the car.........

Dont touch the Mk2 CatD (Black), that has suspension damage on the rear.

Just on that page Maz ??

I'd go for the ph1 34k with the full service history .£3,995 and a private seller so i'd say you could get a good couple of hundred pounds off the asking price . Any traders at those prices would be pretty reluctant to drop the price imo .

If you have a BIGGER budget, skys the limit.
But for 4K all work done get the 70K with tyres & belt, it's done average miles for year.
Leaves a Grand for insurance or MODS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tbh Maz you can take some of the descriptions with a pinch of salt . The seller wants to sell the car , wants people to view the car , so they won't usually list the bad points , dents , scratches , general wear and tear etc .... until you see them in the flesh then its hard to tell what the cars really like from just a few pics .

One persons very good condition is somebody elses average condition .

5th one down looks ok . Personally i wouldn't want to go much higher than 40k miles .Being from a trader and if he's paying cash i would think he might struggle to knock the price down , all depends how much profit margin the garage has to play with and if he's had in in stock for a long while , if he's had it in stock a long while he'll want to shift it asap .

Only £1k more than the one I posted. For £1k you could get a second hand engine and gearbox fitted..
Don't forget it might have low miles but its 6 years old so probably only done short drive which isn't good for an engine particulaly a petrol.

Look out your window see if I'm taking the piss .

84k is a lot of miles though and yeah he could get the engine and gear box fitted but its a load of extra hassle :(

Ha Ha he could always say he's got a cheap set of wheel litrally.

84k wouldn't ever put me off my cars on 71k now and its good as new if not better as its much quicker.

Did you look out the window?

Yep I looked out of the window lol I don't have trees and that isn't my postcode ...

I have just spoken to him and he is really looking for low miles,the one on the other page has has its cambelt changed too or so it says so I have so tried ringing page but no answer

Sounds alright the one you posted Maz . He's probably out raggin' the arse off it before he sells it , lol . Like ya say , cambelts been changed but i'd need to see a receipt to prove it .Private seller so i would try to get him down by at least £300 , always try and find a fault when viewing a car , even if its only a couple of tyres might need replacing in the next couple of months , use it as a bargaining tool . Never pay the price a private seller is asking , chances are he's more desparate to sell than you are to buy .

A good idea when your going to view a car is to make a check list of things to look for . i.e

State of tyres , does it have an alarm fitted , check under car , what condition is the exhaust in , check all documents etc ..... just think of things , put em on the list . Its so easy when you go to view a second hand car to just jump in , have a drive , like it and buy it without actually checking the condition of the car properly .

he posted some details yesterday (well a picture) its been up for sale for some time I think price was £4.5k from memory but thats going back gaes he has no need to sell the car I don't think.

Spoken to the guy on the phone and he says it has had 2 owners, 20 and 42k service (thought the intervals were 12 ??), few stone chips as to be expected, scuff on one of the wheels and the tyres are in decent condition...

I am going to look and drive it to save my cousin travelling 200 miles incase its crap, the problem is I know nothing tech or mech about cars, is there anyone local to Warrington/Prescot that has a spare half hour that could come and look at it with me please (cheeky I know but hey you don't get if you don't ask)

Any help would be great :)
