HELP! Caliper brake mount snapped

  Oyster Card
Really don't know what to do now, took my hub down to this garage and got him to press an old bearing out and a new one in the silly f@ckwit has only got a broke the brake mounting bracket.

Been down to a brakers yard, there was three clios there all with the wrong hub for mine, there was a 1.4 and a 1.2 x2 but both hubs were slightly diffrent looking.

I took the old hub of my 1.2 but the spacing where the hub connects to the suspension linkage is out.

Would it be possible/easy to swap the supension from the old 1.2 over?

F@ck, really upset at the moment. anyone know how much a new hubs going to be, don't care about the price anymore I just need it like Tuesday.

If the garage are paying go to the breakers and get the hubs calipers and shock etc and bolt them on.
Now might be a good time to either upgrade the suspension to the different hub sizes or upgrade the hubs and brakes to the bigger 259mm disk as used on the later cars.
I'd recomend j3ned but he's off on holiday I think.
Renault new hubs are £80 or so probably but no dealer will have any ins tock which means a few days wait plus there all shut now I think.

Thing I find weird is this, Mine is the 1996 model however there was another phase 2 (1.2 however) there and its hub was the diffrent one.
I've got Lucas calipers, which apparently are shlte? so why are there 1.2's goign around with the bendixs?

Welcome to Renault fun and chalenges the hubs sizes changed very often both going up and down the scale.
The calipers changed a few times as well. The calipers aren't that bad though.

Got to love the french aye.

Hows this for a plan, as the calipers fit my 1.2 hub, I know this because I was only one bolt away from sucessfully fitting the hub (Suipension strut bolt was out by a few mil) take the front shocks and hubs off my old 1.2 and put them on my 1.4?
Would I encounter any problems from this?
Well put it bluntly, will the buggers fit?

The hub bolt spacing came in a few different sizes this is your problem Its well worth a try yes top mounts etc are the same its just those hub bolts spacing which is different.
Don't forget 1.2 and 1.4 shocks and springs are different so you wouldn't have a perefect ride although you probably wouldn't notice it much.
