Help fitting Cobra seats H adapters Mk1 5-door RT

  1.6 Rotrex High Comp
This is my first post - if anyone can help it really would be appreciated.

I have just had delivered some h-adapters to fit cobra daytona recliners into my 5-door rt mk1 (1991).

The part numbers were ZT013 and ZT014. There is no way that these are going to fit.

Do I have the wrong part number?

The width is right. The difference in height between the outside and inside is right.

The inside 'track' on the adapter is too far forward (it fouls my gear-stick housing). The oustide track is too far back to line up.

And NONE of the pre-drilled holes line up.

I think I am using the correct side adapter...

Can anyone help?

Many thanks.

It's as good as it'll get.... I have e-mailed cobra with all the details, and have got the supplier to collect them...

The stickers on the part says MK1... but it doesn't say anything about 3 or 5 door, or even whether the phase 1 and 2 have the same chassis...

i gots the same frames from cobra. mine also fouls the gear frame housing and i just cant have the slides as far forward as i used to with standard seats. i just left it the way it is, as can still have them as far forward as i need. as for the holes not lining up some of mine didnt either but werent far out, i just bored them out a bit bigger and got them to fit fine. ill dig out some pics when i get home.

P.s mine is a mk1 ph2 3dr

All, many thanks for your help...

Sorry for not finalising this issue sooner - but I have moved house and my internet has never been right since!

It turns out that cobra sent me adaption bars from a 'newer' clio... I couldn't find out what car they will fit... but the part numbers were 013 and 014.

They have now sent me bars 'made to an older drawing' and I have now got them in my car and all is well.

They don't foul my gearstick housing any more and slide forward and back perfectly.

Aside of managing to be a bit heavy handed with a torx drive and stripping a few bolts, the seats went in without any further issues.

The ride height is interesting... My current driving posture has me peering through the steering wheel but still... At least they're in...

I'll get photos if anyone wants them...(I've invested in a digital camera after my last 'efforts')

Again, many thanks to all - from a new forum user.
