  2005 Mondeo ST
Morning all

as some of you know I was given a 2005 Clio with 152,000 on the clock. (first car for misses)
I have overhauled lots of it like, Clutch, bearing, clutch cable, gearbox oil change, cleaned all engine earths, cleaned abs rings / sensors, oil / oil filter change, air filter, Ing pack, HT Leads, Spark Plugs, V belt, all engine Mounts, Radiator and coolant flush / change, cleaned crank sensor, removed sunroof and resealed, removed front discs and callipers and re-greased pins and replace discs, All genuine Renault parts used

Right now on to the on-going faults

1, under normal light breaking i get a hollow knocking noise, (only under normal breaking) heaving braking nothing, and driving nothing
2, ABS light / service light has recently come on, sometimes goes off,
3, gear stick rocks when lifting off acc pedal
4, interior light not working, (boot light works, all dash lights work, radio works, checked fuses on pass side and all look okay)
5, when switch hazards on the open door light come on the dash
6, auto lights stopped working
7, Passenger hub has two threaded holes (need to go scrapyeard)

Thank you all for any comments / advise. I want to get all sorted soon as her test is in two weeks

3. Is solved by fitting a powerflex dog bone
someone told me its the nylon washers / cuplins on the gear linkage its self??? not 100% and how to fix?
I've always had merc's or Fords and haven't driven Clio before just feels sloppy. but kind of fun to drive for a 1.2

2. Do your brake lights come on late, or do you have to really press the brake pedal for them to come? If might be that you need to adjust the brake light switch which is just above the break pedal linkage arm. The service light and abs kept coming on me, I just replaced it and not had the dashboard light come on since...
it could also mean its ready fir a service :)

as above I have given it a major service, do you need to reset a light / dash once serviced? if so how to do it?
I will try the brake pedal switch
Thanks

With regards to the knock when braking - it may be worth checking your caliper bolts are torqued up. I've known cars to do similar in the past and when tightened and thread locked, it's sorted it.

I believe you have to a code reader (rstuner or something like that) to cancel the dashboard lights, I could be wrong, there might be another way but I don't know of ahy other ways :)
its okay, didnt want you to automatically think its somehting to do with the ABS and spend alot of money trying to fix something when it could be as simple as the brake light swtich
