right after a massive downpour yesterday went out to my car to go to work and the engine reved to 3k constantly and the throttle had no effect and the electrical fault light was on and the serv engine so i set about wd40 every thing i unpluged everything wd40 all the conectors and the the electrical fault light went off and the throttle worked again but it was still reving so i blasted down the intake with some carb cleaner and eventually it was fine took it for a drive and its all good but the serv engine is still on is this just because it has stored a fault and just needs turning off or should i not drive it at all

renaults only show a light if a fault is still there.

any ideas then cos it all seems sweet

mine came on when i drove through some deep water, turned out to be a lambda sensor got wet, just needed resetting.

ill have to get it reset next friday when i get paid
