Cupster

Been savin up for a while now so I gonna spend some £££ on the cup.

The only mods so far are an itg panel filter and silvervisions.

I will be getting Two new michy exaltos outside of the above budget leaving me with approx £600-650 to spend.

So, I have a shopping list, but obviously can't do it all at once so I am looking for guidance as to which of the following to get and why:

Recaros (Trophy style non leather)
Coilovers
Cheaper racing seats
Eibach pro springs or other springs.
v6 spoiler (Which means my cup one will be for sale (Silver)!)
Turinis refreshed in anthracite
4pots Brakes (Have to save a bit more)
K-Tec front/rear drilled discs, new rear bearings and greenstuff pads

My decision at the mo is to go for eibach pros, k-tec brake package and v6 spoiler if I can manage it. (Which means my cup one will be for sale (Silver)!)

What would you choose???

this you will struggle to get a pair of recaros for the budget.

sounds about best really :D

i would sort out the suspension next and then the brakes after when you save up again, but im more of a track performance guy.

I'd sort suspension out first as the standard brakes aren't all that bad. You could get one recaro for 600-650 but not 2,lol.
good luck deciding.

Well I have now ordered:

Drilled brake dics for the front and rear,
EBC Greenstuff pads all round,
New rear bearings,
braided brake hoses,
30mm springs
Two tyres still to be ordered.

A friend of mine works at a bodyshop in Sutton so he is gonna fit all the above, coat my calipers properly in Red or Silver (Haven't decided yet) and sort a few stone chips out on the bonnet.

So that should give me the look and handling I want (bar the v6 spoiler).

I decided not to go for the coilovers as I wont make the use of them as I won't be doing any track days that I can foresee, plus they would only be really worth it if you slam the car which would also not be done as my drive way has quite a slope to it plus speedbumps and potholes are a nightmare round my way already.

Same with the seats, to get anything I will really love is gonna be big buckeroos.

Now saving again for the vee spoiler and very light tints.

V6 spoiler also needs the V6 tailgate struts too mate, and you'll need a stumpy aerial or the spoiler catches it... (i think anyway)

:)

Thanks mate, I will bare that in mind.

Stuff gets delivered next Thursday whileI am off of work so shoulfd get it all fitted and sorted on 25th Mar. I had the drilled discs on my old cup and they were great and that was with standard pads so should be a big improvement with the Greenstuff added to the fact that my standard brakes at the mo are about 80% worn, they look well manky ;)

^^ New struts? Wa ya chat bout? lol
they're just shortened versions so the boot lid doesn't open too far so the spoiler doesn't catch..
which 30mm springs?

I went for the 30mm ones on the k-tec site, apparently lots of people have raved about how good they are!?!? I did speak to the sales guy and he said they would definately lower the cup by 30mm all round while giving the same ride harshness. Should be spot on for what I want but time will tell I suppose?

does the itg panel make any diffence?? i bought a pipercross and think it is w**k??

^^ Yeah he itg feels like the throttle is slightly more responsive and it makes a nice growling noise - nice.

John: No exhaust for me at the mo. May get the stealth system eventually though- we shall see.
