blimey, bet the takes the best part of a day

Chemical guys - petes 53 looks quite reasonable, "Pete’s 53’ Black Pearl Signature Paste Wax - Celebrates 53’ years of life with a premium paste wax developed for all paints specially formulated for darker paints and metallics."

mine is pearl black- black mett
so it seems well suited

No point doing HD Cleanse before SRP

Either :

SRP, EGP x 2 and then Carbon

or HD Cleanse then Carbon.

No point doing multiple EGP layers in day other than to ensure full coverage. To get effective layers you need 12-24 hours between them.

As for waxes on Black.

Not tried the the 53. But if working on the 40 Quid budget so Excluding Zymol Concours and Swissvax Best of Show etc.

On the reasonable Budget I have Swissvax Onyx, Zymol Carbon and Chemical Guys 50/50 and Pinnacle Souveran.

Looks

1. Onyx
2/3. Souveran or Chemical Guys 50/50
4. Carbon

The Carbon does trail in looks, and the Onyx easily looks best.

Durability

1. Carbpon
2. Onyx
3. 50/50
4. Souveran

In the above the first 3 are all ok, the Souveran lasts days rather than weeks lol!

In ease of use they all are easier on ann off than the Carbon.
