Help! Need to change discs

My discs have just about had it now, done 56k on them. I've order some new ones I'm picking up tomorrow but have never changed them before. If changed Pads but have no idea how I remove whole calliper and how discs come off.

Cars a Mk2 Phase 2, can someone let me know hoe easy this is please and if I need any special tools.

very easy when you take the 2 13mm bolts of put the caliper to one side hang it on the spring or some think but dont pull on the brake hose to much on the bracket that seats the pads there is 2 18mm bols on the back of it remove them and the bracket comes off the 2 t30 or 35 on the dics .. hit the bk of the disc with mans best tool the hammer and it will come off

yeah renaultman has it right. once u take out the torx 40 screws out ov the disks, put a single wheell stud in a few threads so wen u r hittin the disk wid a hammer the disk doesnt go flyin. And make sure the disk is the same size b4 u remove any parts as if u t**t the disk of then find the new disk is too big//small u av a big problem as ur old disk will be fuk'ed.##Its a nice and simple job aslong as u dont rush things

If you have any then its a good idea to put some copper grease on the back of the new disc where it meets the hub so it won't stick again.

But you have to remove the torx nuts to remove disc, then give hub a good clean with a wire brush before fitting new disc's and also clean disc with brake clearner. ( you may have to use a hammer and hit disc from behind to removed them)

Thanks everyone, I put the disc on the other weekend without any problems. Got a little bit of a squeal though

They are Brembo discs and Ferodo Pads but I didn’t put copper grease on the back of the pads which I’ve heard stops the squeal sometimes. Last time I had Ferodo pads from Renault and they came with some sorting of material on the back and never made any noise, they also came with new metal clips that the pads slide on, however they where twice the price of the standard Ferodo ones from my local shop.

lmao good advice.. when i changed mine my mate sat upright with legs under the car and hit the disc towards him and it landed straight on his shin... on yeah and they were the wrong size and i propper killed my discs getting them off...

oh yeah and there either 238mm or 258mm diameter discs.. mine are the 258..

all 16v cars are 258mm but for some reason alot of motorfactors computers come up with 238mm for 1.2 16v clios!! i just ask for 1.6 16v disks now it saves problems lol
