220 Trophy
The plastic CAF on my 200 runs from the back of the grill, it connects to a rubber hose about 12" long (see picture attached) running along the right-hand side of the engine which then connects to the air-box.
The rubber hose has a spout on it facing down, to which is connected another thinner rubber hose approx 1.2" wide (see 2nd picture attached) which runs down towards the area at back of the radiator on the right hand side.
This thinner hose feeds into (or from) a black plastic 'box'.
The box isn't that securely fastened as I can wobble it about.
Now what on earth is the box??? - I don't think it's another CAF as I don't think it would get much cold air from behind the radiator.
The point of all this is that I've bought a set of SFS silicon hoses that replace the main CAF rubber hose mentioned above along with the hose from the air-box to the throttle-body and the air-box to the acoustic valve. The hose that connects the CAF from the grill to the air-box doesn't have this spout, so a) do I need to get one that does have a spout, or b) can I just not bother connecting the little rubber hose to the 'box' as it doesn't do anything much (may be its to catch water or to stop the air resonating or something daft??)
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
