Started stripping my front brakes down tonight to start to refurbish them,in a nutshell one of the slider bolts snapped off as was to seized!.i have a spare carrier but its for the passenger side, can i use it?,looks the same apart from the small fin is going to be at the top rather than then bottom to as where it should be.

Ohh if anyone has a spare drivers side carrier & in essex that would be great

not sure exactly, i would think its a left and a right but take the carrier off and compare... needs to be exactly the same

Which fin? All I can think is that they're the same both sides?

I've got ones from a 1.2 on mine, slightly shorter but fine.

No they're different, got an extra bit which tbh I don't know what it's for other than a bit of weight, it's meant to sit at the bottom. But they do fit on either side. #renault

This lump at the bottom

Yeah fits the same just no idea what the lump is for!.seems all ok at the mo,got another caliper coming so have that carrier cleaned up & painted then fit it.Just intersesting to see wht the lump is for tho,all i can think of is weight or like a wind defelector type of thing. Also how come other carriers dont have one to??

Lucky i had spare one in the garage, was for other side but fits fine.I have the proper side carrier i need now.,yeah the head snapped off mine mate & i had no drill bits!.

Thankfully the head didn't snap off mine but I'm in the process of arranging some refurbished calipers.
