Help please! What's this??

Last night on way home from work the car started to make a whining noise I pulled over to inspect and there was a massive leak of steering fluid. I filled the bottle back up and got home. Looking at in this morning there's a constant drip from this:

Could anyone give me some info on what this is? And how to fix the leak even?

looks like a power steering pressure switch???

Power steering pressure switch as said, its not uncommon for them to leak. Needs replacing and they're aren't cheap unfortuantely. The whine isn't good though, how low did the fluid get? Sounds like it might have been low enough to kill the pump.

Oh dear do you know about how much they are? After I topped the fluid back up the whine went. It was only very slight whine.

i think all renaults with ps fluid leak from there at some point.i just hope mine doesnt ben it would ruin my cleaned engine bay and air box!!!

Haha it's made a right mess of my engine bay 100quid!!! oh dear looks like the coilovers are gonna have to wait another month!

I HAVE THE SAME ISSUE BUT CANT BE SURE IF ITS THE SWITCH OR PUMP AS OF YET !!!!!

Not the air box!!!!! Lovingly installed that I tell you.

Getting it sorted in an hour £80 fitted. I was expecting it to be over 100!
