Help please

Car  Leon FR ST
Hey,first post here and not a good one!
After some help please, car will be running fine for a while then will start to shudder(SP) and then when i dip the clutch the revs will sit about 3000, then it will cut out on me. Then when trying to start it, it wont start, so if i leave it for a few minutes then it will start and run fine. starting to do it more often now so dont know what to do. had it to the garage and there saying its fine because it wont do it when they take it for a run...

Any help or knowlege would be thankful.
Cheers G.

My guess is age more than anything.. Driven too hard, wear and tear.. Alot of things contribute to poor engine blocks.

Have a look. Jack it up on Axel stands and look under the front section where the engine sits or take it to a Reno specialist and not a dealer to look at it..

Welcome to CS.

Don’t get drawn in by the space cadets, their blocks are cracked!
Shame on you Guys.:nono:

Find a garage if you are not mechanically minded or another enthusiast if your not minted.
It sounds like a fuel/ignition problem. Possibly an air leak or timing issue.

Its very difficult to diagnose a problem on-line as the only proper way is to follow a logical sequence of checking and to know what you are looking for and what shows up as being wrong.

Have a look under the bonnet for things you might recognise as being obviously wrong, like leaking fluids, disconnected wires or pipes, smells etc, then find someone who knows what they are doing and who you can trust.

Must be some guys in your town who know about cars.

Good luck.
