help urgently!



  mk1 phase 2 hybrid :-)
right i am in a spot of bother my aerial leaks and has f***ed my infra red unit for the central locking and immobiliser and now i cant use it so i cant turn the immobiliser off and cant go any where please if any one kows how to bypass it or remove then could you let me no asap

I got a problem with my car today aswel, i came to junction went to stop and went to go but my car died, i tryed starting it again and nothing happened, its like the immobiliser is constantly on or earthed out i have a mk1 ph1 1.4 RT (k reg) the start motor and battery are both fine its turning over just not firing! any help?

Is the fuel pump running?
Check the fuses.

thanks for all your responses and badasschris i have a pahse 1 ecu but its not mpi its only spi so i doubt it will work will it, as mine is the d7f diet engine 1.2 and thats a mpi engine many thanks again though :)
 
i thought there was a lock somewhere where you can manually bypass the immoby?? (with the key)

does anyone know where it is on a mk1 ph3? I know I've seen one in a 19 in the passenger footwell but never found it in my car....
 
There is no key to override it in Mk1 Phase3. (definetly not my 1.2, anyway)
Just clean the infra-red unit electric bit.. or get really close to it with the fob - thats how my old 1.2 worked.

Once I cleaned it, it got wrapped up in food bag - that sorted it!
 
on a ph3 it won;t start as the ecu is locked until you plip it to deactivate it.

the recevier on them isn't coded only the key so worst comes to worst get another receiver.

The receiver you want is the green oen with hardly any components on it, the brown one with capacitors etc is the early one that key coded.

However take it out clean it off, if theres rusty shite on it tap water and toothbrush to gently clean it and then let it dry and it should be ok.

right today i got a new receiver and key fob from a luaguna but it didnt work but if i use my mates clio receiver and fob will that work ?
