I tried fitting a set of braided hoses on my front brakes but the top nut just keeps turning and I can't pull the old hose off. Anyone know how to get the old hoses off?
Top nut? Do you mean the caliper end or the other? Once undone, the caliper end will simply pull out. The other end just needs tweek a little to allow the copper line to be removed then you simply twist the end of the hose with a pair of mole grips to release the crimps.
The top bit which is attached to the copper line wouldnt come out. I tried pulling on it but it wouldnt move. The nut on the copper pipe just kept turning when I was undoing it.
So the line is free at the caliper end? The union at the chassis end will undo allowing you to pull the copper pipe away. Can the copper pipe be pulled away? The hose is crimped around the end to hold it in place in the bracket. If you twist with mole grips, the hose should then be free.
Try and free the hose then hve another crack at the union.
I got them fitted on but they keep leaking, the bit the copper pipe screws into is slighty different on the old renault hose than the new stainless steel one i bought. I bought them from yozza so im gonna see wot they say.

Think I know what you mean, if its like my valver I had a bit on the caliper with like a tiny tube sticking out which the hose screwed onto, whereas other kits I've seen attach differently :S
