help with cables running down back of gearbox

Phase 1 172.

Have some electrical connectors running down the back of the gearbox just behind the mounted ECU. What are they can somebody tell me ? Lambda ?

There is an earth point on top of the gearbox at the back, which then branches off to the lambda sensors. There are lots of wires in there though, so pics might be useful

yep have the earth on and the lambda. need to have a nose around

Various wires down there in that area.

Lambda. Gearbox earth. Speedo sensor. Reverse sensor.

Get a pic of the plug up and i'll tell you what it is. (I'm midway through a 'box change atm)

i have 2 connectors that look exactly the same to me. one is speed sensor on gearbox( phase 1 172 ) and the other is temp sender. which is which on loom ?

Not on about the ABS?

Only ones that go that side are

Starter motor x2
Lambda sensor x4 or x8 depending if twin lambda model
Earth x1 mounted to gearbox
Speed sensor x2/3

And one on the side of the gearbox too

Surely they will only reach to each one?
