help with coilovers

can anyone tell me if when assembling the front coilovers do you need to compress the spring when putting on the rubber mount and thin nut?

i thought at first this is what i would have to do.

easy solution though - just wind the spring height platforms down so the whole lot sinks down further and you can bolt everything togeather very easily.

legend mate. so is hand tight good enough when tightening up the thin nut that holds the bearing down?

hand tight until it's on the car, then tighten it up nicely once the car is on it's wheels before you put the top cup on. CANT be left loose
