help! wot arches fit the mark 1



  Mk1 Facelift '97 1.2
i have a mk1 facelift clio and have just bought sum starmag wheels with an offset of 6 so they stick out of the arches quite far. does anyone know what other cars have arches they fit. im thinkin renaukt 5 turbo arches and packing them off the bodywork if they need to go futher then filling it all in smooth. anyone that knows anything let me no.

you mean the dimma arches? they look mean, vents an all

You could fit valver arches on, they're wider. Not sure what you'd do for the back though.

Or alternatively just get your wheels machined down to a more sensible offset.

ive got valver front arches going on but cant get hold of the wider rear ones and not goin into fitting dimma kits they are just silly money. the wheels are not goin enough in the middle to machine down anymore. all i can fink of is renault 5 turbo rear arches and making the sideskirts fit for arches to mould into.

Tbh I think you should have bought wheels with the correct offset in the first place. Other than that (as you say) build the rear arches out.
I personally think that r5 gtt arches will look naff on a clio as they are square.
 
R5 rear arches have been done - I have a picture somewhere of one at a show but aren't at home at the moment.

Doesn't look toooo bad but, for the money you'll pay to do it properly, just ebay the wheels and buy a different set!
