my mk1 valver has started makeing a strange high pitch humming noise wen driving along gets louder and louder the more i drive it only stops wen i break or put the clutch in any idea's ?? thought it might be thr drive shaft

damaged gaiter

loose brakes/wheels etc?

sounds like gearbox,, does the noise stop if you accelerate sharply then quicly let it coast?
