  Clio CUP 182
hi, im liam 20 from just outside of durham. Ive just recently purchased a clio CUP 182 and got fair deal FSH.. yadda, the car is really clean immaculate infact, i want to have the timing belt kit done for peace of mind the car has 68k also it could do with new discs and pads all round, in the near future i also have plans for new calipers and a new exhaust system, maybe a new air filter just to get her sweet as a nut! opinions welcome advise clearly needed any rough prices too plus if anyone knows of somewhere local that is good with my particular model, p.s my main concerns for now are the timing belt etc. and the breaks.
cheers folks hope to here from anyone.

Search on some of these terms for more info, but to keep it brief:

* Budget £650 for cambelt/aux/dephaser for 100% peace of mind (about £500 to £550 if it's just cam & aux belt)
* Most popular brake setup for fast road/track is brembo HC discs & Ferodo DS2500 pads up front. Standard renault pads & discs rear (as rear is low load, and renault bearings are said to be of better quality than aftermarket)
* Yozza/RS192 exhaust for raspy noise. Ktec super sport for loud and boomy (but cheap). Miltek, Ktec sport etc are somewhere in the middle.
* Espace V6/172 ph1 airbox + any panel filter for the ultimate induction setup. Ph2 airbox + panel filter over an open cone any day due to heat soak.
* TBH few people seem to bother spending circa £1k or £2k on 4 pots. I believe ktec are the cheapest (but obviously the worst quality) whilst Matt at TDF (Tour De Force engineering) has recently developed a nice looking 4 pot Alcon upgrade.

Probably missed a few options. Search some of those names/products though.

Welcome,

How are you affording to insure a 182 at 20, I've got to know as I really want a 200

Shopping around is the main factor, what kind of cover, and no claims bonus counts a lot I'm through elephant but they change their quotes online all the time just be careful and don't rush into the first half decent price, I could insure a 200 but wouldn't pay what they ask out of principal, I'm content with my little 182 for a couple of years then part ex it onto a nice 200 cos they are SWEET!
