Hi, A little help please?

  1.2 16v Dynamique
Hey All.

Pretty much a newbie to this place, this's my first post. However I've been reading for a good 18 months now, and you guys REALLY know your stuff!!

Anyways, I'm after a bit of technical advice really, my car's a 51 plate 1.2 16v Dynamique (and will be until I can insure a 182) and I previously had a 1.2 8v Be-Bop.

Now, the query I have is concerning the front fog lights (both of them), they dont work, at all. The fuse is intact, I can hear the relay 'click' when I turn the switch on the stalk, the bulbs are intact (taken them out and had a look) and I'm literally stumped as to what else it could be...

A friend of mine mentioned it could be a fault in the wiring? Do you think this is possible?

Any thoughts/comments/solutions would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

Dan

Yeah mate.... My 182 had a wiring fault with the fogs and all the above worked as you mentioned. Think ive heard a few other people saying the same so would take an educated guess that it is the wiring. Renault fixed mine no probs but that was under warrenty, so you might want to consider an independent garage as we all know Renault's charges (and there (in) competence lol)

Good Luck Mate...

Oh... and welcome to CS

  A number of clios
try cleaning the connections thats what i did and mine work fine now use a bit of wirewool to get inside the block

p.s welcome to the club mate

Might be a daft question but you are turning them on correctly arnt you and not relying on the auto light function thing to turn the beams on and then turning the fogs on?

Tried every which way possible, just doesnt seem to want to play. I'll try the wire wool when I get home, cheers.
