hi all,

  Elise,Pum,WRX,MCS,R6
loads of good tips on here and i hope to join you guys/girls for some events
just got myself a x clio 172mk1 with 21,000 miles on it from a lady owner, its pretty mint condition, great little car!
got one question tho, is the steering meant to be a little on the heavy side(cant be the belt cos the battery is charging from the alternator)
how many of you are from north london? i missed the a10 meet cos i got the car a few days after.
anyone know the next service cost for me? its done the 24,000 at 15,000 so im guessin the next service is at 37,500, will have to service it in the next 500miles i reckon. can anyone recommend a good garage?

thanks in advanced :D

Hi, welcome to cs. It doesn't sound like anything wrong with the steering, thats how it's meant to be, i though it seemed heavy the first time i drove it but that's just because the power steering on most cars is so light!!

Yes there is mate! shame you missed the A10 meet but you could have still come down, for the meet in any car!

The next meet which is a must!!! is santa pod mk1 vs mk2 day next sunday the 29th, meeting at the south mimms service for 8:30am iirc or might be 8am but check out the local meeting sections for details.

oh and welcome to cliosport!!

mitch :)

evening, re the steering they have PAS but its whats called "sports ratio" which means its assisted but not as heavily as the smaller engined variants so it should have some weight to it.

damm il be missing santapod :( going away for that weekend.

i dont want to chav up the clio but tuning wise how far could you go without making it less realiable or failing a MOT?

any good enclosed filters etc..
