Hi - Just bought a 182 - Spare key query

Hello and good afternoon everyone

I bought a 54plate clio sport last week from an Evans Halshaw garage in Middlesbrough and upon looking through everything I got with the car i've realised that there's no spare key. I've rang the garage and they told me there was only one key for the car and that if I need a spare then I need to sort that out myself!

Can they do this? I never thought to ask if there was a spare when buying the car as I automatically assumed there would be one.

This being my first clio i'm not sure which if the key i've got is a master key or if it is the spare that came with the car.

Can anyone give me any info? How much a spare/master key would cost

over £100 and you have to wait for one bit to come from France.Same happened to me but I insisted that the car should come with a spare key,so they paid.

Nightmare. If I wasn't in a rush when picking the car up [I was going away with the missus for the weekend] i'd have noticed and told them to sort it. Guess there isn't an awful lot I can do about it now then, the b******s.

Love the car like!

edit: are both of your keys the same? Is there a master key and a spare or are they the same?

Both keys should be exactly the same, and yes you should DEFFO get 2 keys with the car.

Try and find out the previous owner and ask if they handed both keys in,I would think the garage has lost it.
