Just a bit confused really. Been out on a drive and noticed one of my bulbs was out. Thought to myself "f**k sake ££££££"

Got back to have a look at it. turned off the engine, put the lights on and now they both come on :S

Just wandering why really and is it something thats likely to keep happening?

Lastly, if it were to blow up then what is the best place to buy HID bulbs ?

Luke :)

the lamp might be on it's way out and not maintaining it's arc (same way as a florescent lamp flashes sometimes when it's dying)

Could be the ballast or the starter as well though, the bulbs tend to fade as they die. I'd just keep my eye on it for the time being, ideally you want it to die completely so you can swap stuff with the other side to prove which bits fucked.

I thought my bulb went recently so I purchased a new one but it turned out to be the ballast. £170 odd from Renault, £45 on here.

the cars on its original set of bulbs dude so it could be on its way out :(

ive just replaced one on the audi, got it from: www.HIDs4u.co.uk/

cost 45quid posted for mine, i think they were around 89 quid everywhere else i looked, genuine philips as well :)

you will be able to change it without removing the bumper no probs :)

i thought i would have to take the bumper off on the audi but managed to find a route through the wheel arch to get to it :approve:
