HID fitting help

hey guys

just recieved my HID kit for my phase 1 172. i`m confused to where the black and red spade connectors connect to. i`ve checked the existing plug that comes out of the rear of the bulb but doesnt match so not sure if i have to play around

any advice or pictures to help would be greatly appreciated

yeah but very generic and simply say "plug in spade" but not where or how

in this image there is a connector circled, with the kit i have recieved it has 2 spade connectors which dont match any of the connectors within the light unit!

Does your kit have that circled connector (for the origional bulb plug)?

That's a plug and play kit mate. Literally just plug it in line to your original loom and you're away. If it wasn't dark I'd go take pictures of mine to show you, but I fitted mine; which are nearly identical to yours, without instructions.

no, i believe thats where the issue is? i presume if it did it would connect directly into the existing plug that was connected to the rear of the bulb

so symon did yours have the plug system missing? if so what do i have to do to connect it?

In newer kits they have added spade connectors on the bulbs, you can just see them in this link

I can't see any spade connectors in that picture mate lol. Looks near enough identical to the one thrown in mine.

Jamie there was nowt missing on mine mate. In that picture you posted above mine had everything except that black separate block with the two cables coming out of it (in the middle of the shot) but obviously wasn't required for my kit.

the photo above is not mine, its an example of another members. on my kit instead of having a plastic connector like circled in the picture mine has 2 spade connectors like attatching to car speakers

was wondering how i can connect these as they dont suit my existing plug

thats what i was concerned about as dont fancy hardwiring them into the light assembly!

apart from the plugs that connect hid bulb and ballast nope!!!!!!!

what options do i have then is it possible to maybe wire a clio plug (h3) onto the the spade connectors

managed to get it sorted after abit of a bodge, thanks chris and symon for ur help
