High comp cranking current draw.

Chaps, I need to spec electrical components to suit the cranking current draw for a high comp engine - does anyone happen to know what would suit? My suspicion would be between 75 & 100 Amps.

Many thanks!

Ok so cold night, not been started for a few weeks. Coil pack disconnected and cranked for 5 seconds, highest registered ampage 146A

Mark, you need to check your wire rating in that case - you should have 30% extra capacity in the wire beyond required, with the fuse having 10-20% (ensure the fuse always burns out prior to the wiring!)

(Maybe you already know this?) :)

That's worrying I only have my race car fused to 150A.

Also dont forget a 150A fuse doesnt blow as soon as it see's 151A. Probably be a few seconds at 170A+ before it pops.

So probably no need to worry, If it hasnt blown it yet then its probably fine.
