Hit a badger

On the way to the airport at 4am - not nice at all and has led to some issues

• Meggy splitter is rather worse for wear
• drivers side fog nackered
• drivers side arch liner nackered
• metal mounts in that area nackered

But the worst thing is that now in the low revs the engine will lack power and stutter kanagrooing the car, the idle is also very erratic and the tracking is off now as well. Not a good trip.

Anybody hazard a guess at whats wrong with the engine? i was thinking mounts or maybe knocked the exhaust?

Yea for some reason the bumper hasnt got a scratch on it, i guess the drivers side arch took the full impact - pesky TB carrying vermin.

Well had a look at it just now and found 2 bits of arch liner in the belts on the engine - took those out and things ran a little better. still not right in the low revs though in 2nd, also refitted my splitter as thats not as bad as i thought so all in all could have been far worse.

Badgers have cost me, to date ; 2 x Cup splitters, 2 x passenger side arch liners, 1x fog light surround and 1 x 4 wheel allignment.

First time, my mates missus had written off her in front of me and my sister drove straight over the remains of the badger, tearing my splitter off!

Second time was like driving over a kerb stone. Literally bumped the car in the air!

You'd be surprised, national speed limit road at 4am, made it half way across the road before i started braking - so hit it travelling at about 60, all over in under 2 seconds.
