how does it sound this good ? how come alfa can make a 2.2 4 pot sound almost V6 ?


unless this is just the concept engine or a spoof ?

i still think this audio must be overlaid ? i mean isnt it a turbo for one yet sounds N/A and like a v8 ?

having said that even the 2.2 4 pot 16v alfa 159 / brera sound nicer than other 4pots

i mean the vx220 2.2 sound like a sowing machine (and goes like one too)

and apart from mazda 3 mps and scoob the rest of the thousands of 4 pots sound flat as a fart inc renaultsport (although clio 200 sounds raw at least if not sexy)

Love them and alfas, even my dads 2.4 diesel 159 sounds okay (kind of like a grunty v6).

Sounds pretty good as its a 5 cylinder. In my opinion you can'y beat the sound of a turbocharged 5 pot.

My brother constantly calls the 159 ugly. He drives a Mk.6.5 Fezza Zetec S, and things the BMW 1 Series is a good looking car. In fact, he said he prefers it to any alfa or french car.

you made the classic mistake of not reading my post properly..

i.e to make a point that even though its a 1.7 4 pot, it could still sound awesome being an Alfa, and as a point of reference the 2.2 16v (typically dull sounding motor) sounds really nice in the Alfa.

that implies you are saying the engine in question is a 2.2 4pot

a better way to saying would have been

how good does the mito gta sound even though its only a 1.7 4 pot. Also has anyone else noticed how much like a v6 the alfa 2.2 4pots sound amazing isnt it i wnt to have sex with one mmmmm
