Hooking up 3 monitors

Ive currently got 2 20 inch dell monitors side by side and work perfect plugged in to my 6600gt PCI-e Card.

Ive just orderd a 24" DELL and plan on hooking up all 3 to my system.

whats the best way to go about doing this?.....My mobo supports SLI say if i bought another identical card as the one ive got and fitted the SLI bridge...would this allow me to hook up 4 montiors with there being 4 heads (2 VGA / 2 DVI)?.....or is SLI not needed to hook up the 3 :S

But say if i bought a differnet card to the 1 ive got will this still work or would it have to be in an SLI setup for me to have the 4 heads working and configurable through windows display properties.

Any ideas guys?

Cheers

i think I'm correct in saying you just need another graphics card, it doesn't matter if it is SLI'd or not.

i have too 21" together. i'd like 3 to create an "arc" shape but think its pointless as i wouldn't use its full potential.

2 is ideal - i can have code on 1 and design on the other :)

I have 2 Apple 30 inchs running at the moment at work, new guy starts on Tuesday wonder if he really needs one of them!

I had one AGP card and one PCI card.

Don't use it anymore tho.. one TFT isn't used, one is this one and one is on the floor for another PC!

I'm all about getting a 23" Apple Display now.. :)
Mine were all the same monitors (Samsung 172x's).. which, after buying three were nearly £900, so not cheap.. especially when a 23" ACD is only £599 now, haha. Ahwell.. they were AWESOME for Uni.. all sorts going on and could really multi-task etc..

Just get another graphics card. :)

Heh,
I tried the 30" and it's just "too big" for me. The 20" is pretty cool too, but I found the 23" to be the "perfect size". (So they say ;))

I have a dual-output card and an on-board running my three monitors. However, I've not even turned the third monitor on in months, as I never feel the need for it. Wish I had three @ work though, it would make life easier. I could do it as well if there was a monitor spare!
