Horn connectors

My 182 came with a single horn setup. Has never bothered me. However I couldn’t fit an acoustic valve as the mount doesn’t allow much room for both.

Ordered a double horn with proper mount.

Now having a bit of a quagmire as the new horn has a different connector (See pics)

Anyone know if that black wire on the double horn should be there? Do I need to keep this on?

If so where would the second wire from the car would go?

Was all working fine before I started messing with it 🤦‍♂️

Cheers

The black wire is the live connection for the two horns so they both sound, it earths via the bracket to the chassis. If you want both horns to sound you need the black wire.
Cheers mate. I have 2 wires from the yet only 1 connecter on the horn.

Is there even meant to be a second wire from the car?

Sorry bit of a noob

I can have a look at the wiring on my Clio later if you want but mine I believe mine is a single connector to the remaining tab where the black wire connects on the right.

It's as I thought, single white wire from the car connecting to the right horn with the double prong, then black wire connecting both horn connectors.

It'll just be 12v feed I'd imagine, get a multimeter on each connection.

One may be earth but I doubt it.
Haven’t got a multimeter but I think the time to has come.

Managed to get the old one working again so won’t mess with it for now will get back on it after MOT next month.

Ultimately look for an alternative horn with similar connection cause the sound of this is unacceptable lol

Cheers
