Horn working intermittent - tried everything!

Hi everyone, so basically my horn doesn't work, it went from working sometimes, to now not working.

Tried all the usual stuff, fuses etc. Had the fuse box out and played around, had the steering wheel off and found there was no power getting to the switches behind it. Also not 100% sure if it's getting to the fuse or not (no V on either side of fuse).

Cleaned all the contacts etc etc.... Really really frustrating due to MOT in 2 weeks.

Any suggestions are more than welcome!!! Thanks all.

Checked the connection to the horn unit itself? They can occasionally work lose.

Checked that too, had the horns off and cleaned the connections there too. Horn works when shorted straight to the battery. Thanks for speedy replies anyway, appreciate it

Check the mount for the horn, and where the horn touches the mount, on some cars the mount doubles as the earth.

Yeah the mount doubles up as the earth, cleaned that all down though! Literally done/tried everything haha

Unscrew bracket, wire brush back of it, contact area on the chassis and clean the screw up. Make sure every things clean.

Yeah next thing to do is clean the earth to the point where it reaches the chassis. Cheers!
