Liquid Yellow 182
Since I bought my 182 at end of March it has made this noise. When you hit about 105-110mph it makes a noise I can only descibe as a very loud high pitched screaming that comes from the central console above the windscreen where the interior lights are. It gets louder as you go faster and becomes unbearable.
When you push the console as it's making the noise it gets a bit quieter. I've been in other 182's and other owners have been in my car and no-one has ever heard anything like it before.
I took it to the dealer last week and they took it out and told me they heard the noise and they've fixed it. But it was exactly the same when I drove it so I took it back again today.
At the end of the day when i went to collect it they said they couldn't detect the noise because they cannot legally take the car to that speed. Even though last time they had it they could hear it... They said it's probably 'just a wind noise' and that basically there is nothing they can do about it... and that I shouldn't be driving it at that speed anyway!!! Hello! It's a performance car!! What about on private roads and if I want to take it on the track? They said 'well there aren't many private roads around here'. I went a bit mental and they just sent me away.
What do you think I should do? There's definitely something loose somewhere and I don't think it's fair that they shouldn't put it right. I know that you do get some wind noises, but this definitely isn't normal.
