Ours house phones were on their way out so we ordered some new ones.
The ones we had were BT phones made by Siemens and as Siemens no longer make BT phones we went to them.
Ended up getting the Gigaset SL565, lovely looking phone, just like a mobile, weighs next to nothing, full sms, list of features on the website.
Cracking set of phones, the next ones up have built in cameras..

Is there really much point in this sort of technology being put into house phones or should we just expect every electrical device to be over-engineered from now on?
