How can I get oil out of the carpet?

Fecking Magnatec in its fecking bottle with a fecking crap seal on the lid...

I now have about a litre of oil in the carpet and mat behind the passenger seat.

I've got out what I can with kitchen roll and tissues but what can I do to get the rest out? And can I soak the mat in hot water with lots of fairy liquid to get it out?

Get new matts, they are about £30 from pretty tidy cannon ones from halfords, regards the carpet.....call a few valet places, maybe go round a few they'll have all sorts of machines/chemicals to sort oil stains i'd imagine?

Kind of my fault really I guess - something to do with failing to ensure the top was done up 100% safely and taking that roundabout at 60... lol

Mats might well have to go, annoyingly, but might try to Fairy the carpet - it breaks down cooking oil quite nicely so if I can get it into the carpet neat, it will hopefully lift it out with the water afterwards.

Maybe...

Failing that, yes, valet place it is.

Sooooo annoying. I haven't got the spare cash for this!

how about those crystals that garages use in their workshops, the ones that soak up oil spills.

And you should see two white valvers around as Andy16v lives round the corner from me, scarily! lol I'm just usually at work and aren't particularly cash-rich at the moment so don't get out and about much Usually to and from work, up to Harlow once a week or so and maybe out round town as a special treat once in a blue moon! lol

not sure what they are called but I think my mates have a bag of them over their workshop, might be able to get some if your desperate or go to a garage somewhere, I'm sure they will help you out.
Have you got a clio sport sticker? and do you know who the guy is with the kitted blue mk1 its got angel eye fogs and is really well modded but I'm not sure what it actually is and doesnt have a sticker.

lol I deffinately aint seen that clio haha... I'll get a pic of it some day soon. It live in a house at the entrance to Churchill Ave. the road just before you leave Halstead - Sudbury if you don't know. If your passing that way at all have a look.
