How do i find out my paint code?

Am i right in thinking that the paint code is found on the door shut? I have a 2007 Mk3 in black but am unsure what black it is. it's metalic black but my docs from renault say platinum. Any help would be great!

I can't find an SX model on the Renault website, but your last thread suggests pearl black.

Ok thanks Gally, i can't find that code on my door shut so was unsure and also my renault docs say platinum which confused me. I'll check all my docs tonight and see if it says anywhere else the colour. Just want to make sure i get the right colour match.

just let me know if you need anything else.
only thing a would say is watch what your painting due to it being
a pearl only small things will match without proffesional work.

Yeah ok mate, i'm getting someone in the trade to do it for me so should be ok as long as i have the paint code which is the only thing i'm worrying about.

gally! found it on my door shut (obviously wasen't looking hard enough). It says NV676, what does the NV mean? anything important or is the 676 the only bit i need to know?
