How do I find which wheel bearing is bust

Ive got a wheel bearing thats groaning away nicely now. Its extra loud when I turn left, so Im guessing its a drivers side bearing thats gone.

Im going to order a new one from Eurocarparts.co.uk but need to work out if its front or rear. Is there a way to tell which one it is? It sounds like the front one but last time a bearing broke i thought it was front but it was actually the back  thanks.

jack it up and feel for play in the wheel.also spin the wheel and listen for a noise.the bearing noise will get louder as you load it up that why it gets louder when you turn left because you are loading up the bearings on the right hand side.does the noise get worse when you brake?(putting load on the front bearings)
