How do i get from bonnet to inside

Hi,

For some time now i have had one of those solar panel charger things thats supposed to keep your battery charged.....

But its no use plugging it into my cigarette lighter as this is disconnected when the ignition key is removed....:eek:

So i will have to link it directly to the battery......BUT how do i get the wire from the panel (thats on the dash) inside the Clio, through to the bonnet and battery.....?

I cant find any holes or anything.....:confused:

So how do wires run from the dash to the engine then.....???

:confused::confused::confused:

The solar charger really wont do anything to a car battery, it would take hours with those things just to charge an AAA battery.

If you still want to go ahead with it though, best way through the bulkhead is via the bonnet release cable grommet.

Im a bit lost with this one.

Do you want to connect something to your battery to charge the same battery ?

If you are worried about your battery running flat, buy a better bigger battery... like KDF said, those solar panels would struggle to run a watch, nevermind a car battery!!!

there should be a rubber gromet on the passenger side, where you will see a cable looking thing going through it, which releases the bonnet - use that. Its the same way amps connect to the battery

You could drill a shiny new fresh sparkly hole, but remember kids - grommet it, dont turn your mas old Reno 5 to toast by running bare naked wires through sharp metal holes. Erm...or something like that :eek::oops:

MMmmmmmmmmayyyybeeeeee, was in my earlier days of doing stuff and not thinking about the consequences. Fortunately it (might have) caught fire not far from (someones) home and the result was (maybe) a nice new wiring loom for mummy. Perhaps.
