How Do I Take Out My External Temperature Sensor?

Car  Coiley'd Clio PH2
Right, ive managed to get the wing mirror shell off and get the sensor hanging there losely.
How do i disconnect the little device?

Also, what should i be looking for or doing to try and correct the temperature reading (It is currently saying 40*C + constantly).

Thanks
Nick

Just cut the wires, I lost my passenger side mirror to some idiot, I got one from wing mirrorman but the new one did not include the wiring for the external temp sensor. You don't really ned to know how cold it is outside anyway unless your a weatherman (person)

yeah, but its pretty annoying seeing it constantly saying 43*C.

Whenever i have passengers as well they always make some comment like
"Ohh i didnt know it was that hot today, ha ha"

They're £70+ from Renault. But strangely you get one included on a driver's side new mirror for about £50.

One of these will be much cheaper. Just crimp or solder it on and the temperature goes back to normal.

Climate control doesn't work properly without it though.
