As above,

Just bought a yozzasport system which im about to go and pick up and was wandering how i go about fitting it?

I wont need to drop the rear beam/axel thing to get my old one off as it has been fabricated to split into two...

what do i do with regards to new gaskets and ensuring the exhaust doesn't blow?

A step by step basic guide would be of great help as iv never been near an exhaust before & dnt really know what im doing!

Thanks in advance,

Luke!

just jack the car up on axle stands on the rear beam unbolt mid section from your CAT or DE CAT then on the fabricated joint uve had done for the back boxes unbolt it the pritty much wobble it about untill you can get the mid section off then what i did on my mates 182 is take the rear exhaust mounts off 3 bolts each i thouht it was easier to move about when doing it then job done and for re fitting clean up the join to the CAT or DE CAT the use some exhaust sealant paste put mid section on bolt tight then beack boxes on using sealant paste on the join then adjust the exhaust mounts to get it into place where you want it sitting then just bolt it up tight :) just start car and let exhaust get hot minimum revving the heat seals the joins with the paste you use

Thanks matty that will be usefull!

I seem to remember Fred saying use exhaust sillicone or something instead of that gum gum shite...

Anyone elaborate :)

You can buy loctite silicone from Halfords for sealing the joint between cat and centre section of your exhaust. It'll be dear from there but handy if you can't get it from anywhere else.

That glue glum stuff you're on about doesn't last long, tried it with mine and with in a couple of days the moisture had worn it away and I had moisture dripping from the joint again.

The hardest bit with fitting a new exhaust is getting the old one off, those nuts that hold the centre section to the cat are a right b*****d to get off when they've been on for a while.

Right i have dropped the rear like, beam thing by un doing the nut at the bottom of each suspention thing behind the rear wheel...

I couldn't split the exhaust in two as i had planned as it had just sealed and wouldn't budge.

Any way, now i have dropped the rear axel/beam thing - how the f**k do you get it out ? It is REALLY tight and it keeps bashing my bumper :(

HELP?

aye a mate has said that to me...

Just hacksaw it once then pay for it to be welded when/if it needs to go back on? Any idea on cost?

Lastly - is it this hard to re fit the new one ffs :(

once the axle is dropped, you should be able to turn the exhaust RIGHT round (180 degrees) and it will slide out and just about clear the bumper

no, it's easier!

The OEM exhaust is big and heavy, meaning its a pain in the arse to work with. Best off cutting it, sleeving one side and clamping it back together.

Where would be the best place to cut it do you reckon?

once the axle is dropped, you should be able to turn the exhaust RIGHT round (180 degrees) and it will slide out and just about clear the bumper

Cheers danny i will have a go at that tomorrow

Pay the lads at local tyre centre £15 to fit it for you... ;)

All the places round me wanted 50quid + vat and from reading on here it sounded easy... things didn't go to plan lol... nvm i am sure it will get sorted.

Cheers guys.

the original exhaust is a proper arse to get off mate!

My advice from doing it is jack the car up as HIGH as possible and be persistant.

Good luck lol!
