How do you remove Foglight Surround...

-J-

Car  RS2'ed 172 Cup
... on a Phase 2 172?

I searched and seems mixed reports from just pulling it and it unclips to having to unbolt it?

I have the bumper off my 182 at the mo. There are three bolts at the back of the fog lights to get it off. Assuming the 172 is the same its a bumper off job to do it...

Nice one, Was hoping to get the surrounds off to fit my new Carbon surrounds but sod taking the bumper off.

Sorry mate mis-read the title!! The plastic surrounds just pop out you dont need to take the bumper off. Just be gentle with a small screwdriver and they should pop out. I thought you wanted to replace the whole fog light sorry. Should take you no more than 2 mins a side!!!

Ah thats better news.... Ill be back in 2 min Moaning cos i have snapped them i expect LOL

Tea Spoon Removal FTW

Busy waiting for Glue to Set - TBH they have been right Ball Ache to get on!

Im not sure Im happy with the fit so might try them on the car then if they look poorly fitted remove them and start again.

Where did you get them from? Ebay? I have bought a few aftermarket carbon bits for my R1 and they never fit properly!

Got them from the group buy on here. Im sure once on they will look fine as they are low down, but will have to see.

on a side note you can get to the foglight by just taking the wheel off and the pastic arch liner. on a 172 anway, might be different on a 182! :)
