How Easy is it to Fit & Replace Cat

Just done a search and all seem to go on about getting a garage to carry out the work.
Was just wondering how easy/differcult is it to change the Cat for a Decat and then back again come MOT time. Is it basically unbolt / swap / do bolts up or do you have to start cutting at things like some seemed to have done on here and then weld the gap, and can it be done with the car on axle stands.....?

piece of piss dude... jack it up, undo the bolts and its a straight swap... just find a dodgy MOT place and u wont need to take it off then

As said it's easy to do aslong as you Buy a Decent Decat and have it going onto a decent system, I had loads of problems with my Magnex System blowing with my GDI Decat BUT I think that was mainly very poor fitting when it all got put on :(
