How easy is it to service a 182.

How easy is it to do plugs and a oil change on a 182? Is there a guide on here. I have a good set of tools but have not done it before on a 182. I am confident with cars and working on them changed exhausts etc. Just wondering if I could save myself a few pennys!

At the mo the car runs sweetly but is due a major service. 60000 miles. What would be done on on a major service? Cheers

Keep ALL receipts of parts used and maybe take some photos just to show it has been serviced.

i think they're really easy to service - there's not much on the Renault schedule. you don't 'officially' need to renew the plugs until 72k iirc

Would do but at the mo im totally skint. New mortgage etc!!. I have a full warranty on it and if the belts go before the 72k recommend by Renault it will be covered by them so won't worry about that until I have the cash spare!! Few months hopefully!

Oil filter is a piece of pee todo. The only parts ill leave to the experts are the belts and brake discs, i can do pretty much every thing myself, ive got more experience working on pugs.

Much easier if you remove the fuel rail guard then get a claw in.

no as it's due 5 years 72k

aux belt is 5 years 36k

Ahh right... mine is on 36k.. 5 years old next year so getting the cambelt done at the same time as the aux belt.

I don't worry to much about warranties, chances are something will happen the day after the warranty expires or it won't be covered anyway.
I've done all the servicing on my 172 since new. I intend to do the cambelt myself next year.

also I have a 5 litre tub of CarLube Fully Synthetic 5w40

is this good stuff? cost me near on 50 notes.. but been told to get something else as CarLube is no good....?
