How long do oem discs last ?

Car  1.6 Astra ... R.I.P. 182
quick question hopefully quick answer.

and i know itll be rough and driver dependant etc but need a rough idea ...

both, we have some customers that have destroyed both the fronts and rears in 6K on a new car from the dealership! (no names mentioned ;))

30-36K is my approximation on an average road user with a few track days thrown in

Thanks Fred. Do you know the minimum thickness a disc gets to before it needs changing? Is it the same both front and rear?

no different

front min thickness is 21.8mm
rear min thickness is 7mm

minimum pad thickness (inc backplate) is 6mm

Mine lasted 45k but a lot of motorway miles in there with little braking. Actually had metal braking on metal the last few days, was erm, interesting.

Ok now i'm worried, as mine have done 53k and look fine?

18k front and back both shagged, 4 track days though. Rear discs are so expensive :dapprove:

While we're on topic in a way. How long on average would a set of Ferrodo crossed drilled? and greenstuff pads last. Bought the car with them newly fitted and im clueless in this topic.
