Clutchless shifting, double clutching you name it ive been doing it.
Nah, synchro mesh into 3rd is fucked, well, they rang me up today and told me there was a serious problem with my gearbox. No s**t. Same TL4 box as that in the 197 and 200. Well almost.
I have a 1.5DCi Micra for a while, and then im into a hire car for the remaining period of time. They had to take it into Shitroen to get my car on the ramps.
If its in stock in France its normally a 5 working day turn around.
RUK Customer Services will be able to advise of a date normally (Will only be an ETD though) Make sure the dealership has not simply got the part on a Stock order though, and that its on VOR (Vehicle off road) status, otherwise it will keep getting dropped down the list as other dealers order on VOR.
Not confirmed if it is on back order yet but Id imagine it will be.
I might ask if I can take the car back until the part is in. Dont really want my car being left in a carpark getting bashed left right and centre. Ive tried hard to keep it ding free and the door lips chip free from hitting walls and so far ive been successful. I wont be atall surprised if it comes back with scrapes, dings and damaged lips.

Ill pester them and gett hem to put it on VOR then. Although Id imagine they will do anyway, because it is VOR.
I think so, they have been great so far, very helpful - IM actually gobsmacked. Was an internal problem, synchro mesh is fucked, typical tl4 problem. They have a brand new (apparantly updated version) gearbox on order for me with a few other things but cant remember what they said. Full new unit.
Going to try find out the exact gearbox numbers and see if they have updated it or not.
