How long does your battery last?

Car  R35 GTR
My car was last used about two weeks ago now and the battery is completely flat.

Anyone else got any idea how long a decent battery should last?

Mine has a trickle charger now due to the above - though it had been about 6 weeks non use last year when it went flat.

Should last much longer sound like you've a power drain from the car you need to find it there quite a few potential areas it can drain from as such.

renault remove a fuse when the cars are stored up before they are sold., they call it consumer cut out.
cant remember what fuse it is now will look it up tommorow

my renault battery lasted 2 weeks when i was on holiday... came home and it was flat.

Bought the most expensive one halfords sell... calcium something or other and that ones been left for 2 weeks and started fine, no power loss at all :)

You got an amp or any other ICE?

You may wish to consult Clifford, but all goos alarms I've had in the past will remain fully active for XX hours, followed by a 'power saver' mode, was the same on my 172 and the same on my Bike - sigma/laser respectively.

I do have a 4 channel amp, I think I'll put a switch on the supply and see what happens.

If it's earthing somewhere it shouldn't be it could be drawing power continuously, I'm not a sparkie far from it...but certainly seems possible.

The earth from the amp runs straight to the battery, they are side by side, same with the +ve.

Mine last 18 months only. It did not go flat. But my car was having the trip mileage counter problem, it went back to "0" every time I start the car. Not the total mileage through. Therefore, I still change the battery and no problem so far since July.

left my 1.2 for 4 months while i was in africa, as above, fired up first time.

My 172 still has the renault battery, it lasted 3 weeks when I went on holiday, I even had a jump starter in my car for when I got back just in case.
