How low is your 172

Just wondering how low is everyones Mk2 172.

I didnt get a chance to measure my car when it was standard height.

My car after fitting Eibach sportline springs is,

LF: 600mm, RF:595mm

LR: 610mm, RR:605mm

measured from the ground through the centre hub to the top of the wheel arch.

the left side of my car is 5mm taller than my right side. is this normal?

I shouldnt think it is anything to worry about.

Maybe the ground where you measured is slightly tilted to the right

So whats the measurement from a standard 172 or a cup from the ground up to wheel arch?

Anyone know?

Mine standard but i am not sure what the measurements are. i cant lower mine as there is to many speed bumps where i live and the bottom of the car scrapes as it is

If i can aford it though i would like to go for lowriders style suspension. to give me the best of both worlds

I dropped mine 30mm all round on H&R springs because it was too high on 17s. Its about 10-15mm lower than a normal Mk1 172 now. Not massive but looks a whole bunch better!!!

What is the ideal height 2 lower it by without f**king up anything,, i have 17 super ts on it and want 2 get it done but just want 2 no whats the ideal height and the best springs 2 use??

Paul, those speed bumps near you arnt nice.. I remember going over them ages ago as a "short cut".. but it ended up taking me ages - Didnt know they had put them in.

The f**king things are everywhere - I cant get in or out from my house with out going over at least 5. Its a case of taking them very slow indead and p*ssing every body off thats behind me. It never crossed my mine when i brought the car. Ah to live out in the sticks like you would be grand -lol
