How low!

Definitely not sure this is going to work out! Got in from work a little while ago and checked the car the plastic splitter has been scraped more on the drivers side! I think I need to get them to double check that they were the 30mm springs cause this seems way too low! :-s

Mmmm...really not sure this is going to work out! Got back from work a while ago and there has been more rubbing on the plastic splitter on the drivers side! Need to check they were 30mm springs as this could be a problem!! :-s

I;m actually pleasantly surprised mines dropped so low! ITs looks wickedm handles wicked and im chuffed! ~Although mine looks like the 60mm too i think....

hmmmm april.... on a 60mm drop.... & on the front... u should be able to put one foot under the splitter then put ur other foot above it and be touching ur foot if u get me?

coz thats what mines like! but then again, im on 17s... ur on standard 15s atm arnt you?
get some bigger alloys! that will sort u out!! but it sounds like uve dropped 55mm! pi springs tend to drop more than they state as they are quite soft! ive got 60mm spax springs and they are quite stiff and dont drop quite as low as 60pi springs! do you remember how low my car was at southend? coz if u do then thats how low 60mm should be!

but urs definetly doenst sound like 35mm!!

thats not that low april?

mine gets over your speed bump in your cul de sac and mines lowered 60mm on 15s!! so it cant be too bad

i think it looks better just need some allys!

Yeah stop whingin woman and grow some bollox!! (Not literally please!)

Ill take you for a ride in my car and youll appreciate what low is!! Literally have to go every speed bump at 1mph!! lol

You could still smuggle an afghan baby under your arch!! ;)

And like Fred said you can never be toooo low!! No such thing!! ;)

Besides your car looks wicked low!! :) -x-

I dont dispute that mate and i do see her point! ...just trying to convince her she should be happy about it!!! lol ;)

im biased cos i love low cars but april if its a night mare you should take it back and tell them to sort it out!

show us some pics and we can have a looky when poss of course

vix xx

i lowered mine on 35mm spaxs and it looked really low at the front but higher at the back.

now on 60mms and the front looks marginally lower than it did on the 35mms - but it looks much lower at the back and more even, if you know what i mean...

Darren...thats interesting...have u got a pic anywhere on cliosport at all. I was gonna go 60mm...but r-tech advisd me not to as shocks would wear too quickly..

Maybe its the weight of the engine which lowerd the front more than the back...40mm drop looks good at any rate and no speed hump issues....although im anticipating problems after atomo kit is fitted and my ground clearance is even less...

GI6NNN im with u mate...lower is cooler...but if she aint happy...

~David~

You may have the 55mm springs by mistake and the fronts have settled in earlier as theres some weight to take...?

-Rob

Some weight to take???!! What does that mean Rob? What are you trying to say!

I can see all of your points! Just worried really about damaging the front and if theyre not the 30/35mm springs I wanted, wearing out the shocks too quickly! Also, if it is rubbing with just me in the car, what it will be like with anyone else!! They will have to always sit in the back so there is no more weight in the front!! lol! It def looks like 60mm springs to me, although I know thats NOT what they ordered! They advised me not to go as low as 60mm due to possible problems. :-s

lol! No, as in the engine!

You should of got dampers in the first place as the OE items are a joke, ive only mentioned it about a million times on this forum!!

Even with 60mm drop on 15"...should be ok on humps...Test it out and c ...then go back to the people u got em from and moan. Simple...get some compensation if u can scam it...take off ur front splitter and say it broke and u want to be reimbursed to get a new one...as 60mm aint what u ordered.

yeah get on a diet you heffer!!! ;) lol

id give it a week and see how it settles, then if you still dont want it that low take it back and have words, sure there will be no probs replacing them anyway! :)

Watch it Glenn!! Youll be getting a slap tomorrow boy!!

If it cant take my weight, then no one else stands a chance! I dont know anyone who weighs less then me (excpet small children of course)!!!

Ill give it till middle of next week and see how it goes, but if you (Alex or Glenn) speak to Torsion, can you just mention to them that it seems to be mega low on the front please??!

Its defo scraping on something, I think it must be the bumps to get into my drive, but I imagine the speed bumps must be very close too. Ive got some pics, but dont think Ill be able to get them on till tonite, cause this PC is too slow!!

That must be 10 slaps you owe me now at least eh!! ;) lol

I reckon it is that bit into your road that hump is fookin savage!!!

I dont think youll have any trouble with speed bumps though! :)

*Just had a quick look at my car.*

Having had mine done last night with the same springs that you wanted, I can tell you your car is a lot lower at the front than mine.

Just ring TT up and tell them. I am sure they will sort you out :D

Bloody hell it looks even lower than the other night!! :)

Perhaps the front looks even lower as the back hasnt settled yet as there is far less weight on it? ie no engine!

Looks even better now!! lol ;)

Nice kerbed wheels btw!! :p

Girls dont know how to clean wheels!

low clearance but still a big arch gap?!
I do know how to clean wheels thanx Rob, just havent had a chance!

I know, it is the low clearance that is the problem and it was the arch gap that I wanted to close...seems to have done the wrong thing!!

Glad someone else thinks it looks low...you have the PI 30mm springs then Flipper? What car u got?

  BMW e46 320 Ci Sport

Nah mine are even lower than that and theyre 40mm?!?!!? Can just put my hand between wheel arch and tire gap. I guess they may have settled out and urs arent all the way yet....but im pretty sure that mine arent the 40mm they were supposed to be....oh well!)

  BMW e46 320 Ci Sport

Yeah its well low...i have 15"s on too...its ok though just don#t go crazy over speed humps...maybe u have a high angled drive way. I do scrap if i go up some driveways too quickly....

lol actually i was being serious!!! It does look lower in that pic than the other night!!

And yes they are that kerbed!! :p

Maybe if I get someone big to sit in the back , it will lower the back and lift the front a bit?!

They are not all that kerbed!!! I had to swerve out of the way of a desperate copper anyway, not ALL my fault!!!!
