How many 182's with Recaro's spec'd

  A Grey Slab (Audi Estate)
Just wondering if any knew how many 182's (Full fat or Cupped, but not Trophies) were spec'd with the Recaro seat option? Like mine! :)

-----

And also how many 182's were produced in total? (I know this bit has been posted before, but cant find it  )

Cheers in advance

PM'd Jeremy. He reckons there was only about 25 cars spec'd with the seats. Which makes mine fairly rare :)

Thanks for the reply Jeremy.

Good mate thanks :D

I've not posted much recently however have been checking the forum out :) I want to get myself to the next meet as sadly couldn't make it to the last few.

Hows you? I hear you've gone from a Golf to a CTR now? Nice!

182 with Recaro's......... me thinks you need a forum name change ;)

Wonder how many more of the supposed "25" are members on hear?

i know! i dont pick it up til wednesday, so i dont want to go jinxing it by changing my name til then ;)

Yeah it was an extra option, but it was only offered towards the end of the production run and according to Jeremy Townsend only 25 people spec'd them on there cars (excluding the Trophy).

If you buy a full spec 182 with optional Recaro's are the doors still trimmed in alcantara or are they like the back seat and fitted in 1.2 poverty spec cloth?

  A Grey Slab (Audi Estate)
I have to say, they are totally worth it regardless on how the rest of the interior is trimmed. Look fantastic and really hold your body in a good position. Since getting them I few little back pains and problems I was having have gone away. Which was an extra bonus.

I would have them as well. They are worth the money.

Just dont understand why when you pay for an 'upgrade' they take it upon themselves to downgrade other areas.

  A Grey Slab (Audi Estate)
Guess its just to offset the cost of the seats. They only Charged £500ish (from memory) for the upgrade. Which I think the spec these seats are in, is about what you would nearly pay for one (if you bought them aftermarket).

I prefere it without the rear head rests as it adds to the sporty intension however yes the trim could be better but I never have anyone in the back of my car! :D

poverty cloth!

i say poverty cloth in jest! but if you don't get the Recaro's you get nice half leather and alcantara front and back, yet if you opt for the Recaro's you get a bench back seat with the same material as a Dynamique - just doesnt make sense to me.

Same in the trophy though too.......

  Clio 182 + Recaros
I went with the Recaro option. Granted the back seats are very basic, but then again I'm never going to be in the back!! Thought it might also help the re-sale, if I decide to sell. As per the thread, assumed that not too many 182's have this option.

Has anyone got some pictures of the door cards? Just curious to see what they look like really.

Has anyone thought about getting the rear seats re-trimmed to match the recaro's - or even done it?!

They match better now treated and without flash of camera, still slight miss match tho, maybe why Renault removed them :~

Door cards are only problem but tbh i didnt notice until someone on here said the normal FFs have alcantara (sp?)

TBH the door cards dont look to bad. They are just plain dark grey fabric. Its the back seat that looks a bit pony.

I have been thinking about getting the back seat and door cards trimmed to match when I get some funds. Think it will finish it off. Did not fancy putting the split folding rear seats in with headrests, would block the view of my lovely Recaro's from behind!

Maybe you have just seen alot of 182's owned by people with exceptionaly good taste ;)

Did seem a bit of a low number to me as well, but he did think it was roughly that give or take a few.

Does seem an very low figure but saying that it was hassle to get them. I ordered mine just as they anounced them and had to wait an extra 2 months for the car! Also salesman told me he wasnt allowed to take more orders with the recaros spec'd. JT said at the time they were still avalible tho.

are the seats any good.

Daft question! Or is it a question? No question mark! ;)

Yes, they are very good. Recaro are widely regarded as manufacturers of the highest quality car seats in existance. They are OEM on Aston Martin, Audi, VW etc.

Yellow182jon - Seats are soooooooooooooo much better than the orig ones. Check out some of the earlier comments on this thread. Think there is a whole other thread some where about the seats in general.
