how many cups were produced

does anybody know how many cups were actually made and registered in the uk? thought when i bought it i was buying quite a rare car but reading posts on here there seems to be loads knocking about, especially in england. dont see that many up here in sunny scotland though, well not in edinburgh but i see more than i do clio 16v or williams.

Just because there are loads on here doesnt mean theyre not quite rare - its just that all the owners are Cliosport members! You dont see that many on the roads.

Well they were not limited edition in any fasion, and they were a cheap car with big performance.. does it suprise you they sold well

as ive only seen 3 1.6 16v clios, and 100s of 172s and loadsa cups, i must conclude my 1.6 is a much better car because it is so rare.

Seen at least 4 cups in Swansea, not seen another 182 yet. Have seen another cup, a silver 182 and a new silver V6 in pontypridd though, about 40 miles from me.

There was a note in EVO when they got rid / returned theres that they hopped the 1800 Uk owners enjoyed the car as much as them. Not sure if they accounted for the whole run though.

They still have some brand new ones, (2nd owner...V.low mileage) Theyve bought a few around the Solihull area. There are a few, Ive seen one (my own!), seen another 4 out on the road in N.W. England, and there was a 2nd hand one in the garage where I got mine from. Admittedly though, Id kill for a Silver one...as theres mucho Kudos about having a V.limited edition car (Well..thats in my opinion).

i live on canvey island in essex near southend, theres about 55k-60k people on the island and ive only seen 2 on here, only seen about 5 off of the island so as far as i no there pretty rare and look great might i add

Roughly 2500 but far less than the number of 172s and a82s that will be produced!

Ive just bought one of the new pre-reg cups, hopefully I can collect it next week. Only ever seen 1 cup on the road (not far from my home actually), but usually see the same 172 every now and again.

Only seen one cup on the road, that I can remember and Ive seen 7-8 Williams in that time.

i see a lot of cups in west yorkshire about the same amount as civic type-r its when they get as common as mg rovers you need to worry

I would like to know how many Ragnottis were built. I had seen somewhere that only 300 were to be built for the French market, and know of only 2 that made it to Luxembourg.

Renault had to flog 2500 apparently to meet the homologation requirements of the FIA for Group N.

yeah compared to civic type r they are pretty rare. i was sitting outside my wifes work for 5 mins waiting to pick her up and 2 black type r passed me. i see loads of them knocking about and i also work for blackhorse finance as an underwriter and every 2nd honda deal i pick up is for some 21 year old joker wanting to buy a civic type r. lol. hardly get any proposals for 172s or cups but did get one for a clio v6 the other day.

compare the numbers on the road to mini coopers, type Rs, 206 gtis etc etc, all cliosports are quite rare in that respect, i do 350 miles motorway driving a week and probably see 2 172s a week, hardly any cups ever, and ive seen my first 182 yesterday... they still have an air of exclusivity IMHO!!!!!
